wissam eid (b. 1988) is a Lebanese-Brazilian visual artist, based in Lebanon. He graduated from the lebanese academy of fine arts (ALBA) specializing in visual arts & illustration. He held on to his art practice even though he had to handle the family's firm working in the security industry as soon as he started art school.
His work revolved solely around ink drawings & digital art until he started immersing in painting seriously in 2021, this is where his engagement in the local and international fine art scene began to take off.
He dabbles in various subjects finding himself particularly inclined to obsessively documenting personal life experiences. He dislikes artistic comfort zones and likes to shuffle styles and mediums.
His work revolves lately around treating memory, the human psyche and social behavior.
He's been focusing in his visuals on symmetry and using psychic automatism and blind drawings as his main go to drawing methods.
